Investment Strategist - Hong Kong

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the central investment team in Singapore and senior management to define the roadmap for Hong Kong’s wealth products including managed portfolios, cash solutions, thematic strategies, retirement products, & advisory content.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including investment professionals, advisors and technology experts, to implement solutions and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

• Oversee Syfe’s managed portfolio strategies in Hong Kong including execution of daily trading activities, governance and implementation of regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks. 

Drive Investment Strategy through Thought Leadership

• Provide insights into the Hong Kong investment landscape, including but not limited to regulatory developments, investor preferences, MPF dynamics, ETFs, managed portfolios and thematic trends.

• Develop Hong Kong-specific macro and market perspectives by integrating Syfe’s regional investment outlooks and product planning.

• Craft and deliver timely, relevant and high-quality market insights and thought leadership, simplifying complex investment concepts for the mass-affluent audience via AI-assisted pipelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of investment experience in investment strategy, research or advisory roles in the Hong Kong market.
• Deep understanding of Hong Kong’s investment ecosystem - ETFs, managed accounts, regulatory frameworks, MPF and retail investor behaviour.
• Outstanding communication skills with media, public-speaking or client-facing presence.
• Ability to break down complex investment concepts into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong relationships across asset managers, issuers, research providers and/or industry bodies.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Hold a CFP / CFA qualification.

• Previous experience as a Responsible Manager (RM) which involved advising on, managing, or overseeing Managed Portfolios in a PLUS.
