Associate HR Business Partner

Singapore
Work Type: Full Time

Syfe is APAC's largest and fastest-growing digital wealth platform, trusted with over US$10 billion in assets. We are fundamentally changing how hundreds of thousands of people across Asia-Pacific build wealth through a holistic approach to managing money rather than just pushing investment products. Backed by world-class investors and recognised as a leader in wealthtech, we are a team of passionate builders creating the future of wealth management.

The Right Profile
We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Associate HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team. However, this is not a typical desk-bound HR role.

You will be joining a lean team in a high-performing business so our core values of "humility", "hunger" and "hustle" will be put to the test daily and are essential to job fulfillment. This is an opportunity to develop into an all-rounded, progressive HR professional.

You will move seamlessly between strategic HR topics and hands-on office operations to ensure the business has everything it needs to succeed.

The position reports directly to the Head of HR in Singapore, so you can expect a challenging but rewarding journey.

Location: Singapore
Note: We are unable to provide work pass sponsorships for this position.

Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Business Partnering (SG & HK)
  • Employee Lifecycle: Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, payroll & benefits, performance and talent management and offboarding for our Singapore and Hong Kong entities.
  • Government & Regulatory: Handle necessary government-related activities, including regulatory submissions and surveys.
  • HR Business Partnering: Support employees as a trusted HR partner, addressing their needs and fostering their growth.
  • Talent Acquisition: Support talent acquisition. You will drive the end-to-end recruitment process (from sourcing to offering), mentored by our Head of Talent Acquisition.
  • Process Efficiency & Compliance: Ensure HR processes and policies are efficient, scalable and compliant with legal and business requirements, while ensuring they are effectively communicated and adhered to.
2. Culture & Special Projects
  • Culture Champion: Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, reinforce our values and elevate the overall employee performance and experience. You will also help "market" these initiatives internally to create buzz and ensure high participation.
  • Special Projects: Participate in HR projects focused on implementing and leveraging technology and analytics to enhance and operational efficiency and decision-making.
3. Workplace Experience (SG Office)
  • Office Environment: Create a welcoming, functional and vibrant workspace that reflects our culture. You will ensure the office is well-stocked and managed efficiently, acting as the connector for vendor relationships and pantry needs.
  • Tools & Equipment: You are the on-ground point person for device inventory and distribution, ensuring every employee has the tools they need.
  • Office Vibes: Foster a positive atmosphere by coordinating team-building activities and supporting well-being initiatives that make the office a great place to work.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant HR experience covering HR operations and ideally employee engagement and/or business partnering. Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment is a distinct advantage.
  • Technology & AI Interest: A genuine interest in AI is a must for this role. Practical experience with AI tools (even in a DIY capacity) to improve productivity or workflows is a plus.
  • Operational Mindset: Willingness to handle administrative, office management and basic IT logistical tasks. You take pride in operational excellence, whether it is running a performance review or organizing the next office party.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Interpersonal Skills: High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with employment laws and regulations in Singapore.  Knowledge of Hong Kong employment practices is an advantage.
  • Eligibility: Must be a Singapore citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid work pass to work in Singapore.
  • Bonus Point: Having experience in the financial services or investment industry, as well as an IHRP certification or equivalent, will be an added advantage for your application. Experience using design tools (eg: Canva) and collaborating with marketing teams for internal communications is also a plus.
